Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, Jeff Evans wasn’t born into an adventurous lifestyle. As a young man with no direction, he turned his love of the outdoors into a life filled with mountaineering expeditions and adventure races around the globe.
My Impressions
I will be the first to admit that reading books is not my thing. Of course I do plenty of reading but a book really has to capture me quickly or I lose interest and don’t pick it back up. This book had me from beginning to end. The chapters are very short and tell a great story. At the end of each chapter he sums up what he learned from the experience and how we could use that in our own lives.
I would recommend this book to anyone. It’s about mountain climbing but the real lessons are about life, leadership, courage, strength, determination and most importantly teamwork.
